Jacob Jahnke joined Energy Strategies in April 2024 as a Data Analyst. His primary focus involves leveraging coding techniques to analyze large datasets, model connections between energy infrastructure systems, and produce visualizations.

He also supports the firm in understanding transmission planning and generation modeling. Jacob’s proficiency in Python lends to his expertise in writing and maintaining code. His in-depth coding skills promote client confidence in the reliability and precision of his results.

Before joining Energy Strategies, Jacob worked as a Data Scientist for a carbon management tech company. This experience equipped him with knowledge of energy markets, laying a foundation he can build upon in his current role. Prior to that role, Jacob earned his PhD.
